Designate "Red Cross" when giving to United Way
Many people assume that they are supporting the American Red Cross when making a gift to United Way, but this is not exactly true. The American Red Cross of Yolo County does not receive any automatic funding from either the Woodland United Way or Sacramento Area United Way.
However, if you are interested in supporting the Red Cross in Yolo County, you must specifically designate the donation for this purpose from a list of several charities.
